Tori - Grits in the City - discounts and faves

I often get questions as to how many Tori Amos shows I’ve been to and why I’m so big of a fan of hers. It’s really hard to explain. It’s because she’s an amazing musician. She can improvise and play almost anything on the spot and in the age of everything being re-worked in the studio (auto tune galore) I think that really confirms someone isn’t just a performer – that they are also a true artist as well as a musician. She’s an interesting person. Read an interview with her and it likely skips around and parts seem a bit bizarre. What can I say – she’s an eclectic person.

She’s got so much passion and charisma though packed into such a tiny package (especially when you see her sans Manolos or Christian Louboutins!). I’ve seen her 43 times now and I love that I can say without a doubt, each show was unique and well worth the time and effort to travel there. And that, well that’s my sTori.
