2019 holiday style round-up

November 26, 2019 by Lara 12 Comments

If you’re following me on Pinterest, you have seen some of my latest trend obsessions – from sweaters to pants to dresses. So much out there that has me stalking for some fab sales and deals this Black Friday. Below are some of the specific styles that recently have caught my eyes.

High and mid-waisted pants from Universal Threads. My wallet and heart have been captivated lately by Target Style. These have been a constant fave of mine and that hasn’t changed with some of their latest styles. I recently caved and bought these rust-colored cords as I continue to go all-in on the fall color palette. This pairs great with other fall hues or to add a pop against a neutral. Basically, all of their high waist pants are amazing. Their black ones? Actually stay a deep black (I got these curvy ones). And their jeggings look perfect with boots. Basically, Universal Threads are the MVP of this postpartum round. They’re stylish and regularly on sale – like oh say right now!

Pretty much all holiday dresses from ModCloth. I used to buy often from ModCloth but have been on a bit of an unintentional hiatus as of late. Well, it’s romance back on these days. Their holiday edit is one of my favorites. Their classic and slightly vintage looks are on point! Especially loving this metallic midi skirt, this sparkling striped romper, this amazing twofer navy/cream dress (both velvet AND tulle?) and these velvet t-strap heels.

Mad for plaid. The holidays have me extra heart-eyed for all things plaid. I recently snagged this Old Navy sweater, a more budget friendly option also available in both plus size and maternity. This plaid Taylor sweater dress on Amazon is a gorgeous option (love this brand). Cozy up with this navy orange blanket scarf from Local Color NYC – either online or in person at their super cute store in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. My favorite Anthropologie has several gorgeous options as well, including this plaid pullover, this fabulous capelet and this fun tiered plaid tunic.

Return of corduroy. I’ve never let go of this wardrobe staple, but it looks like this is back in this season. No complaints from this direction. A good blazer is a must-have this season to dress-up jeans and keep you warm, too. It’s also great for layering with any lighter-weight dresses (even the right summer-time ones can fly!) to transition it into the fall/winter. Some fun options to check out are this Court & Rowe blazer available at Nordstrom, this sassy red fitted blazer from LOFT and this beige one from & Other Stories with tortoise shell buttons (especially digging the buttons.) These Madewell Demi boot button fly jeans will be a perfect staple for your wardrobe. You can even go with a corduroy shirt. Especially loving this Madewell swing shirt.

A bit of sparkle. I mean, it’s the holidays — not that I really need an excuse. Of course, an even easier option is to skip a new dress or fancy skirt and just get a touch of bling. Loving these fun phrase bobby pins on ModCloth and this yuletide Yorkie holiday brooch on Talbot’s. I am also still in love with these crystal warrior pendant necklaces from Local Color NYC. Of course, sparkle doesn’t have to just mean jewelry. I’m obsessed with this recent shimmery Rothy’s release, that just might be on their way to my house right now! Click here and score $20 off if these are your first pair.

What else are you loving this holiday season?

I like the idea of plaid! I am more relaxed at the holidays but since I am a jeweler I must have the sparkle too!

I can’t agree more, lots of plaid style dresses and designs this year and lots of blings everywhere too especially when it comes to soft furnishing in homes.
