Toys, games, books… oh my. The struggle for the perfect gifts for a toddler aged child or younger is real. If you’re still looking for some things to fill up the empty space under the tree for your little one, here are some of our current favorites to get you started.
Ambulance & Doctor’s Kit from Green Toys
We love Green Toys in general. A big fan to begin with knowing that they’re made with 100% recycled plastic! The great thing about the ambulance & doctor’s kit is that it’s both something the kids can wear and a vehicle they can play with. We’re fully into the realm of costumes and this manages to straddle the line of costumes and vehicles. Win all-around in our household. We’ve also spent a lot of time reading about comic book superheroes and we’re starting to explain to our son that real people like doctors can be super heroes too.
Lunii’s My Fabulous Storyteller
It doesn’t take long before bedtime feels super repetitious. Sometimes that’s okay, but sometimes it’s not. Lunii’s product is great because it lets your toddler (ages 3+) make all the choices. It’s like an electronic choose your own adventure! They choose the setting, the main character and an object and the storyteller does it’s magic — preparing and then reading to them their custom creation. There are even additional story packages you can purchase to add for even more options for them over time!
Sesame Street Elmo’s On The Go Letters
If your house is like ours, Elmo is everything. And, right now, so is the alphabet. We love this Sesame Street set of on the go letters. There’s a place where the kid can spell out words on the bottom right. When each letter is removed from the case, they can see items and other Sesame Street characters that use those letter. Genius. Our son loves this and it’s really helping to drive home all the letters we’re trying so hard to get him to learn. He loves carrying it around too, just like it’s his own personal briefcase!
Melissa & Doug Fire Chief Role Play Costume Set
We are well in the world of pretend play, and our son is loving to dress up in different outfits and costumes. These sets from Melissa & Doug are great. A friend got him the fire chief set but they have ones for astronauts, vets, you name it. So many options to help their imaginations thrive and start to teach them about various careers, too!
Chicco Pocket Snack Booster Seat
We don’t do it as much as we did when we lived in Manhattan, but we still enjoy a good occasional meal out. Sometimes though you find yourself at a new restaurant that doesn’t have highchairs. Well, worry no more. This Chicco seat is small enough to put in your trunk so you have whenever you need. We even throw ours into the bottom of the stroller when we go into the city so we are always prepared!
All of these items are currently available on Amazon! Visit here for links to all of these in one handy place. Happy shopping!
