agape cafe breakfast

August 23, 2022 by Lara Leave a Comment

We originally planned to try different breakfast spots during our recent vacation to Lancaster, Pennsylvania but we quickly changed our plans after visiting Agape Cafe in Ronks our first morning of the trip. After that meal, we didn’t see a reason to go anywhere else!

Outside Dining

We wanted to dine outside, and the restaurant has a perfect setup for that. Note there are only around eight tables outside, so we would arrive very early to make sure there would be one available.

Dining outside also meant a better view of the neighboring land where there were several goats, chickens and a rooster!

Menu Standouts

We had to try their waffle charcuterie board, which instead of being meats, cheeses and the like was your choice of pancakes or waffles served with all the fixings — blueberries, strawberries, Nutella, chocolate chips, fresh whipped cream and bacon. It comes in two different sizes as well. So many options!

For other sweet options, I recommend the red, white and blue waffle. It’s similar to the above, but somehow entirely different just the same. Added bonus? Even more of their amazing whipped cream. (Divine.)

Their egg dishes are strong as well. We did their make your own omelette one of the days and, like the rest of the menu, they do not skimp on portion size. The omelettes are made with five eggs, so you won’t be leaving hungry!

Another day we had to give one of their egg sandwich specials a try. Along with the eggs, there were peppers. So good!

They have such an amazing coffee and tea section of their menu. Their basic cappuccino is perfect (pictured above.) Just the right amount of foam! For something with a bit of added kick, I recommend the iced brown sugar shaken espresso, which is made with brown sugar, vanilla, oat milk and has three shots of espresso. It was a perfect to go second drink option as we headed to Dutch Wonderland.

Planning a Visit

Agape Cafe is closed weekly on Sunday and Monday. Agape does not offer reservations but they do offer call ahead seating, which they recommend for 5PM onwards.

If you have children, they do have a kid’s menu and will bring them a coloring sheet and crayons to keep them entertained. If they finish they’re always happy to give them a second one!
