Today is Boston Marathon Giving Day, a moment to allow all the runners for this year’s marathon to celebrate and share about the causes so meaningful and personal to them. I set the goal of trying to hit at least $1,000 in donations before the end of the day. Our kids are even rocking their own Tedy’s Team shirts to join the celebration! Overall, I have just under $4K left to hit my goal before my April 14th deadline. Let’s make it happen!
Donate through the link here and you’ll also get a chance to win a signed New England Patriots football by 3X Super Bowl champ and 2X stroke survivor Tedy Bruschi! Bonus, reshare my post on Instagram Stories for 2 extra entries! No donation is too small. Also please share this post with any Patriot super fans in your life who might love to get their hands on this football too!
What does Tedy’s Team do? So many great things to help promote stroke awareness and support for stroke survivors on their comeback journey. Watch this video to learn more about one of the recipients of their Comeback Assistance Program. I’m looking forward to getting to meet Amelia in Boston!
Thanks for your support as I recover from illness and injury and continue the journey to chase that unicorn as I run for pediatric stroke awareness in honor of our daughter, Logan! I’ve been slowly getting back into the swing of everything. I did manage to run the United NYC Half Marathon this past weekend, taking it pretty easy with the goal of just enjoying running the course (including a NYRR first ever to cross the Brooklyn Bridge and the hallmark of the race, running through a closed Times Square). I have been kicking back into a more solid training schedule too, aiming to tackle 18 miles this weekend as my long run.
Crazy it’s only 31 days left to go until the Boston Marathon, but I’m excited for it all!
