episode 1: welcome to mama’s got this

August 20, 2017 by Lara Leave a Comment

I’ve trained myself to do all sorts of non-traditional things. Late in life, I decided to take up both the flying trapeze and ballet – with varying degrees of success. I’ve picked up and moved several times for work or school, living in four different major metropolitan areas. Surely I can figure out motherhood… right?

It’s not to say I couldn’t have figured my way here without the support of friends and family – but it wouldn’t have been as fun and it would have taken me way longer. I’ve always been a great networker, building out a group to help support me along any given journey. Motherhood was no exception, but it left me to think – what about people who don’t have that same support system?

I love nothing more than connecting with people passionate about the things I am and sharing great ideas. That’s where the idea for Mama’s Got This really came from – an opportunity to tap into my network of fierce moms and beyond to the pros to talk about all the surprises of mom life and the inspirational stories and experiences of others. It’s a podcast focused on the adventure of motherhood. I’m looking forward to interacting with other moms – more and less experienced alike – to share stories, tips and even struggles along the way.

This podcast is all about you! I want to hear from you about your experiences. Please email me or leave me a message at 256-648-5272 and your submission could be featured in a future episode.
