I’m learning that nothing makes you scrutinize everything about yourself like being a parent. How you talk, how you react under pressure. Yes, even how you brush your teeth. We’ve begun emphasizing the importance of regular brushing with Q. I’m doing an okay job though, right?
I’ve never used an electronic toothbrush so when Smile Brilliant reached out with an opportunity to try their cariPRO toothbrush, I decided it was a good time to try — especially with the high volume of sweets I’ve been eating around the holidays! Over the last several weeks, I’ve been using just the cariPRO to see how it performs.
Being that it’s an electronic toothbrush and our son’s room is directly next to the bathroom we share with him, I was worried that it might be too noisy. I was pleasantly surprised to see how quiet the toothbrush really is. I’m able to use it with no issues even if he’s just falling asleep.
One of my favorite features is that it not only automatically runs for the two minutes you should be brushing but it also briefly stops four times to prompt you to move the toothbrush to each of the four quadrants of your mouth. I’m sure you’ll agree that the two times of day where you are typically brushing your teeth — first in the morning and at night before you go to bed — aren’t usually when you’re most focused on these types of details. So helpful that the toothbrush takes care of that for you! I’ve learned that I haven’t been bruising my teeth nearly enough for all these years, something I’m glad to now correct.
There are several settings from which to choose. I typically use either the “clean” (the standard mode for cleaning) or the “white” (their more powerful setting for removing surface stains, polishing and cleaning). It’s nice it also comes with a very gentle sensitive option in addition to modes for both massage and gum care.
I’ve noticed that even though I’m not using a brightening toothpaste and am still indulging in the usual suspects (coffee and fountain soda, in particular), my teeth are brighter than two weeks ago before I started using it. I also have that wonderful post dentist feel to my teeth all day long every day, which I also love.

I worked with this company last year to review their teeth-whitening kit. It was some good stuff! I would definitely be interested in trying this tooth brush! It looks like it’s super effective!
