With my recent change in status, you could say I see all things mom all the time these days. If you haven’t already found that perfect gift for your mom (or for the mom figures of various natures) in your life, there’s still time. And if one of these is perfect and won’t make it here by May 14, maybe it’s worth a temporary IOU to treat them right. These are some things I found particularly fun. Hopefully you’re able to glean some inspiration for your gift hunt!
Pizza yoga mat
I have to say, my mind has likely wandered to pizza a number of times during shavasana over the classes I’ve taken in the past year. I wish I had this super cute ban.do mat to take to both my prenatal and mommy and me yoga classes as nothing could have been more perfect. Just because you’re a fit mom doesn’t mean you can’t be a foodie. Love that this gift manages to straddle appropriateness for both and owns it.
A touch of chic décor for the kitchen
I really love everything about these dish towels from Uncommon Goods. I’ve been smiling about them for years, though I’ve yet to buy them. I love the look of them but also the function they serve. Skip the magnet that outlines this and go for this option that informs as well as decorates. With one being red and one being green, they even could pass as Christmastime appropriate. Not surprised these are from Uncommon Goods. (If you’re not familiar with them, they’re a great site to bookmark for gifts of all sorts. Easy to get lost on their site – in a good way.)
3 months of java, java, java
I recently subscribed to a monthly delivery of espresso and having my espresso come to me has been amazing. When I lived in the city, I often would get my coffee out as an excuse to get out and about, but was oftentimes underwhelmed. For busy moms who want this waiting in the cabinet at the ready, this is a perfect option. For moms who make espresso or coffee at home, Orleans Coffee has some amazing and affordable three month subscription options. You’ll get two bags a month, a free mug and free samples every month – and the coffee has yet to disappoint.
A large vehicle for said coffee (warm weather edition)
Moms need easy access to coffee, and lots of it. I can’t get enough of this Kate Spade tumbler of mine which is a perfect way to get your iced coffee prepped and set to get you through the morning. It’s nice and tall and keeps your coffee nicely chilled throughout the longest of mornings.
Don’t love this pattern? You’re in luck – cause there are so many others from which to choose, available from sites like Amazon, Macys, Nordstrom and the mother ship itself, KateSpade.com.
A fun, cute summertime hat
‘Tis the season, y’all. Though it seems to only come in brief spurts the past few weeks, we aren’t too far from warm weather sticking around. I love that this cute one from White Elephant Designs embraces warmer temps (hello, bare legs!) and my late-in-life realization that a bit of protection for a long day in the sun could be a good thing. No reason that can’t end in something stylish that makes a fun statement. Loving the idea of this rose all day one!
A bit of something sweet
If you want to go for chocolates, do something different. Mom is special, unique and deserves something more than your basic chocolates. Check out my fave – Brooklyn’s Nunu chocolates. Get her a box of the hand-dipped salt caramels. They are amazing.
