After months of negotiations, packing, paperwork and waiting it all finally happened. We have our first house! To say we are excited would be an understatement. And along the way, I think we were so worried something unexpected would go wrong that would mean this would somehow fall through.
But it didn’t! And we are in. It was a soggy weekend for a move, but we didn’t let that dampen our spirits in the least bit. We celebrated Friday night at one of our favorite spots, Trap Rock. We managed to get last minute movers and the damp ground made it easier for us to get everything quickly planted on the front and side of the house. Life is good!
We are so excited to not only have some real outdoors space but also to finally give Q a space of his own for the first time! Though there are a number of rooms we need to decorate, his is one of the first we want to tackle. We have bought a few pieces we couldn’t resist along the way but are just starting to think about what we need and want to get to make his nursery perfect. We have his crib and a few decorative things but we have a lot left to fill in.

Thanks, Cindy! We’re looking mainly for storage (stuff to hold toys, etc) and fun decorations for the walls. We just finally bought a nightlight so filling in those little fun things that make it feel more personal.

That is so exciting, congratulations! Being a home owner is fun and scary at the same time. I was so nervous when we bought ours, but thankfully we have been here 3 years and no problems!

Congrats on the new home. Those pillows for the nursery are so cute. My favorite kid’s room designs are ones the mix modern and classic. I think a kid’s room should feel like a kid’s room without being too cutesy.
