pizza at maplewood’s arturo’s

August 9, 2016 by Lara Leave a Comment

I went out to New Jersey for Mother’s Day weekend with one dining ask – to finally try out Arturo’s. I’ve been curious not only to try Arturo’s but also to check out the city of Maplewood in general. Unfortunately it was a bit overcast and not the best day for exploring, but it was a perfect day for some pizza.

We managed to catch the tail end of lunch, as Arturo’s closes between lunch and dinner. We started with one of their salads  – the “Emiliana,” which was prosciutto de parma with mixed greens, balsamic vinegar, and parmesean regianno.

For our pizza, we went with their margherita, adding in their sausage. The pizza had that perfect oven charred crust and the mozzarella was nicely spaced out across the full pizza for that perfect mix.

Based on those around me, I definitely want to give their pasta a try next time.
