This week, Rothy’s held a special event in NYC to celebrate the upcoming launch of their wool line and I was lucky enough to score an invite.
Before making my way over to the event, I made a quick trip over to the new store location in the West Village that’s still under construction. Exact open date is TBD, but should be at some point this fall (fingers crossed).
The event was in the Gramercy Park Hotel, which made for a perfect return to Maialino for some breakfast. Couldn’t pass up the opportunity to enjoy their ricotta pancakes.
The event was located up on the terrace, where they had a selection from the collection out for us to see. I have to say, their new merino collection fabulous! The material is a slightly elevated material and it’s super soft as well. I’m really excited about this line as I think that it will pair well with work clothes for a slightly dressier look. (Heads up — they’re dropping soon! Use this code to get $20 off your first pair.)
The color are perfect for snazzing up your fall wardrobe as well. Loving the tan and plum in particular!
We also got to take a look up close at the limited collaboration Rothy’s did with Marta Ferri. It’s currently only available in Italy (though rumored to be on sale at 10 Corso Como?) but soon will be launching on their site for a limited time.
The shoes are not only in a limited color/design but have a slightly modified style from the standard Rothy’s silhouette. The point is a bit more rounded than the typical point and the loader a bit pointier as well. And a lot of the colors are brighter than these photos can do justice!gri
These slightly altered silhouettes are limited (for now) just to this run. It’s launching soon and sounds like quantities available will be quite limited – so get ready to click!
I was also excited to get to meet a couple of members of the Rothy’s NYC team! As a part of The Collective, I’ve met a number from the San Francisco team but this is the first time we’ve interacted with the NYC team. Hope to see them again soon!
On the way out we were treated to one of three styles. Can’t wait to take these “Big Cat” points out of the box. Love!
