Yesterday, we headed back to Snyder Farm for the Snyders Farm Food Truck and Music Festival. Unlike when we went back in June for their u-pick blueberries, it definitely was not cool. If anything, we found ourselves frantically searching for some shade!

The live music at the event was much better than I expected. Throughout the day, we heard so many favorites ranging from classic rock to classic country to modern country.

The $5 cost of admission covered access to the various trucks (most were food trucks but there was also the Wanderlust mobile truck (I was obsessed with this – so cute) and one area set up selling toys, among a few others. I didn’t end up buying anything from Wanderlust but have a feeling I will be later on their website, which has free shipping.

Food
The kids had to have some hot dogs but my dad and I had pork sandwiches from The Angry Chouriço BBQ. We sat in the shade and listened to the music as we enjoyed our food.

For dessert, the food trucks had some great options. My dad and I had some fried Oreos, because I think they are the piece of regular Manhattan street fairs I miss the most. The kids went straight for the cupcakes at Cupcake Wars winning House of Cupcakes. They split one of their brownie cupcakes, which was a brownie cake with a thick fudge frosting.

Activities
We paid to take the kids into the activity area, where they were able to dig in the sand, climb on a large rope web, race ducks with water pumps, climb tires and then a large red tractor perfect for a photo with the sunflowers.

They had u-pick sunflowers and tomatoes running at the moment. I wanted to do both but we were all so hot by then that it was time to head to the car to go home — and cool off.
Snyders Farm Food Truck and Music Festival was a hot day but we had a blast just the same. We look forward to going back in the fall where it’s not quite so hot!
