Staycation brunch at Willow & Whisk in Wyckoff

July 17, 2024 by Lara Leave a Comment

It’s been a long time since we’ve had a chance to try our a new breakfast or brunch sit down spot around here — so I took my challenge to find a great spot to try en route to Storm King very seriously. Thanks to Google and a lot of review sources I was able to find Willow & Whisk, a very extremely popular spot tucked into a shopping mall in Wyckoff. I was curious to see — would it live up to the hype?!

We got there as quickly as we could with traffic, arriving around 9:40am on a random Thursday. Thankfully we got there when we did, as we watched the patio area quickly fill up with a wait forming for all seats. We were able to go directly to a table outside. We could though a wait is likely the norm, with multiple signs communicating multiple 90 minute max allowed on your time at the table and asking for no one to wait in front of their main doors.

We started with an appetizer of their mini brioche french toast — which was cornflake crusted and cinnamon sugar dusted, with strawberries, bananas, whipped cream cheese topping and maple syrup. So good. All restaurants should have a sweet starter like this — genius!

For my main, I couldn’t resist going for double the sweet, choosing to try their lemon ricotta pancakes. If this is on the menu, I rarely am able to resist!

T had to try their eggs, going with their Tuscan Breakfast Bowl, which included Prosciutto di Parma, baby arugula, grape tomatoes, egg whites, feta and basil vinaigrette.

Overall it was a wonderful experience. The best brunch I can recall in recent months in the area.

319 Franklin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ; Early arrival recommended
