thanksgiving punch

November 23, 2021 by Lara Leave a Comment

We are gearing up to host our first Thanksgiving in our new house this week. After so long of smaller gatherings, it will nice to have more faces around the table. Sure, it comes with some level of anxiety — I feel like that’s the norm now for groups in general because there’s some degree of risk now. But it’s exciting that Q has begun his vaccine series with them now being available to ages five and up. Some progress indeed.

I’ll share more recipes for the meal later, but wanted to share a quick drink option I pulled together for tomorrow. “Drink” might be a bit extreme of a label, but sharing as it’s a super easy to add something to the lineup with ingredients you just might already have in your house.

I love apple cider. It’s such a staple of the season. It can be a bit sweet and heavy though — more commonly something you’d have a small cup of. However take that cider and mix it with some seltzer and you have a festive beverage perfect for all to enjoy — and perfect for spiking as well, if preferred.

  • Apple cider
  • Seltzer cans

The ratio is around 3/4 cup of apple cider to 1 1/4 cups of seltzer per drink. Adjust up for the appropriate number of servings you need. For Thanksgiving, the seasonal Spindrift flavor of cranberry raspberry is my recommendation. Enjoy!
