top peloton classes of 2021

December 28, 2021 by Lara Leave a Comment

I just passed 15k minutes on Peloton for the year. 250 hours! I’ve taken all sorts of classes — from cycling to running to barre to boxing. I know people are always looking to change up and try something new — or maybe you’re trying out a free membership and trying to figure out where to start. Here are some of my faves from the year. To pnote, there are a few non-2021 classes I took a lot on repeat this year so I’m adding those in on the technicality that Peloton shorts us a bit anyhow on outdoor run content!

Robin Arzon - Red (Taylor’s Version) 30 Minute Peloton Class

Cycling

Robin Arzon’s 30 minute Red (Taylor’s Version) Ride was one of my standouts for the year. The music of course was amazing and I don’t think I’d rather have had another instructor lead the class. Definitely one to check out (opting in, of course, first for the Swiftie challenge.) Emma Lovewell’s 7/23/21 30 minute live DJ Debbie Gibson Ride was another fun one. I’m always a big fan of the DJ rides, which have become more rare as they were stopped for stretches here and there during the pandemic. I love all my Cody rides, but if I had to pick some faves for the year, it would have to be his 5/11/21 30 Minute Pop Ride (because you are a sizzling plate of fajitas!), his 12/17/21 45 Minute 2000 Ride (for its multiple Kelly Clarkson tracks) and his 12/14/21 Xoxo, Cody Slay Ride.

Outdoor runs

I don’t have the Peloton Tread, so I usually tear my way through their limited outdoor content. Some of these will be non-2021 classes because until my recent hiatus, I’ve been taking and retaking whatever they’ll send my way.

I really love Becs Gentry’s 3/8/21 Women’s History Month 45 Minute Run. Throughout it, she tells the inspiring story of Kathrine Switzer, the first woman to run the Boston Marathon and all the things she had to battle to get to that point. It gets me so fired up each time that I take it that I always end up with tears in my eyes at some point and definitely inspired to push my hardest throughout.

Jess King’s 6/25/21 30 Minute Pride Run is another fun one. She talks you through the entire run like you’re making your way though NYC, which was both fun and made me nostalgic for the city. They’re older ones, but also love Matty Maggiacomo’s 11/21/19 45 Minute Broadway Run (because anything Broadway Matty does is gold, and this is one of the best of the best) and Selena Samuela’s 1/2/20 Country Fun Run.

What were some of your favorites? Drop them in the comments so I can check them out too!
